The Together Foundation Warmline is a free service for those with non-urgent questions about addiction and recovery. Its experienced counselors have recently:
Recommended help for three callers needing Ativan detoxification;
Suggested to two people that they seek ambulatory detoxification;
Encouraged another to seek inpatient detox;
Counseled other callers on alcohol, drug and eating disorder recovery.
The Together Warmline is provided by The Together Family Foundation as part of its mission to educate families about addiction and recovery. All questions are welcomed, but it is not designed for emergency situations.
The Warmline is not affiliated with any treatment programs or services and thus offers objective advice. It is supported by contributions, which cover staff training, both professional and lay, as well as the cost of equipment and operations.
The Warmline welcomes applications from therapists who are interested in becoming counselors.
It also welcomes donations. Recently a donor offered to match other donations up to a total of $25,000.
